Starting as a small partnership firm in Worli, 34 years before, by its Chairman and Chief Promoter Mr. L. H. Chitalia in the name of Rajesh Dyechem Industries, the company has progressed well by acquiring varied experience in Textile Auxiliaries; Acrylic Copolymer Emulsions for paints industry; and Water Based Adhesives for wood-to-wood bonding, stickers and lamination industries. The Company shifted its office and manufacturing unit at Navi Mumbai in 1988. Adequate modern facilities and infrastructure were created to strengthen manufacturing operations and adhere to high quality standards.

Strategically, it is now focused on concentrating its efforts in the key strength area of Contract and Toll Manufacturing particularly in Speciality Chemicals field and other growing segments. In view of this, the Company has changed its name to RDI SPECIALITY CHEMICALS PVT. LTD. in April 2004. It's now an ISO 9001:2000 & 14001 Certified Company.
